I also went to the Apple store an hour south in Delaware to dodge the sales tax and even dug up my dusty old .edu email to claim the student discount. They didn't even check for any student email or ID, they just gave it to me and I do NOT look like a freshman lmao

i did something similar a few years ago - macbooks were like $2k in mexico where i lived at the time so i took a bus to texas, crashed on a friend's couch for a few days, got a new macbook and came home all for much cheaper than buying one in MX

i saw it and was considering it even if only to play the one apple store exclusive katamari game(still mad about this)

a few months ago i got an m1 macbook pro from Back Market for about the same price as the discounted neo. i've honestly been annoyed with how much i enjoy it, as someone who's wanted to switch away from my iphone for years lol

Yeah it's funny, I don't have any other Apple device and I use this thing like a Linux user with the Terminal and shit, but man these laptops rock. Now that they're repairable anyway (I used to love Framework but the price tag on them... eeeesh)

The dominance of Microslop in laptops get weaker and weaker every day, I probably won't buy a macbook any time soon (the neo sounds good tho), but my lenovo would probably be fine with linux mint if I finally find some time to convert to the good side
