thinkpads and macbooks? excellent taste in laptops. the early retina MPBs are fun these days, i have one with a 2nd gen i5 that needs 60% CPU to play a 1080p video :D

@greenbox - I'm not sure about the others, but if you've got a 15" macbook pro retina from 2013, you might be excited that you can upgrade it with a logic board from the mid-2014 macbook pro! Around January I upgraded my MBP from a 2ghz cpu + 8gb of ram to 2.8ghz and 16gb of ram!

It's funny, I'm really just interested in MacBooks and ThinkPads from 2007-2013. It's like this sweet spot where they're easy to repair, moddable, dirt cheap, still totally usable for all web-related tasks, and they look really cool. The design language from the era seems to compliment surfing and building on the personal web really well!
