@rotten-rats-choir thank you! I am working on compiling answers. i'm unsure if i should wait until the deadline and submit or update whenever i get an answer. one of my biggest concerns are people replying to each others rather than giving their true answers since the topic is quite contentious

Can't believe a concept like junk journaling got commercialized too. Thought it was going to be some kit sold by Sanrio or other mascot companies but it makes sense that it's some sort of Etsy sellers overpricing the hobby. It's spooky now how you hope and pray your favorite hobby never goes viral on vertical video apps or the price can spike like crazy (also heads-up I think you put 2025 instead of 2026!)

@tabf5 when i just got into junk journaling i bought a 15$ "starter kit" of literal junk (wow surprise!) LOL I think sells are taking advantage of the trending term and somehow convinced people they need to buy to get into the craft (thank you for letting me know! it is supposed to be 2026)
