This is a cool list! Well thought out and crafted. Since you like 80s boxy rally and some Japanese tech, what's your take on the Mitsubishi Starion? Its my ultimate dream car. Oh also, have you seen the Subaru Sambar Dias S. These are two of my favorites, quite different :-)

Man, the worst I've been in is about ~580 (BC, Canada.) Awful thing to experience. In this day and age, I have to recommend blowing some cash on a high end air purifier. I went with a Coway airmega and holy smokes is it powerful. It's pretty overkill for the space I have, so I essentially have fresh cycled air every minute and a half. When it kicks into overdrive you feel a pressure change in the house lol

I recommend everyone in wildfire-affected areas, or heavily polluted industrial zones invest in at least one HEPA Air Purifier. If funds are low, or you are feeling DIY, you can also build a Corsi-Rosenthal style box :-]

Really cool blog! Given you mention your interest in early European peoples, you might also be interested in looking at Australian Aboriginal. They are considered the oldest culture still to be in existence (50,000-70,000 years) and they had/ have a pretty extensive symbol/ iconographic language. Raccoons are assholes, but I kinda love them. One time when camping, we heard strange noises coming from a neighboring site. When we shined our flashlight on it, we saw a troupe of raccoons running up the trees. They’d been feasting on food left out at our neighbor’s picnic table. They kept coming back when when the light was out and eventually had to be shooed away. They're bold, they don't care!
