i just read the hate comment on the guestbook and now im so upset for u. regardless of my opinions about ai i just feel like that was so unnecessary and mean of them to say and also condescending. your site is not ugly.

I can understand that comment, what he is trying to say and maybe he got some sad happening with ai art thats making him upset. But you are right, it is unnecessary to screaming that to the void. Guestbook should be a place where people are nice to each other :) Like if he doesn't like it, he can just leave.

i mean, i'm an artist. art never really made me any money ever. i have family members in tech and most tech companies use ai these days, its the industry standard. i wish datacenters were environmentally friendly tho. honestly search engines have been using algorithms for 30+ years now. ig's search uses ai too. i think it's misunderstood. i fear people would cancel me for not being negative enough but

It's a mean message, but I don't really see it as a hate comment. Just an artist that is really disappointed and honest about it. As an artist that is leaning more and more into tech world, I feel like both worlds has much different experience with AI. While in coding, AI has been really useful (sometimes really annoying bc of bosses), in art world AI is just a big backstab for us and is used more to exploit us

than anything else. Lots of us have been escaping mainstream media just to see genuine human art. I had a feeling your graphics may be ai generated, but kinda dismissed this feeling. So yeah I feel kinda mixed about it knowing now for sure. I really like your website and what is in it and I don't want to come across as negative, but I would be dishonest if I said that part of me didn't kinda feel this comment

Yes, I'm not an artist of any kind (maybe just a little with the astrophotography), but I really can feel that when I'm spending nights trying to capture something, just to see other person generated the same nebula with AI and got bunch of comments saying how cool it is. That's the kind of usage that makes me sad; "pretending" to be something that it isn't.

At my website when I use something generated I'm not saying anywhere this is what I made! - kind of stuffs and usually using it as a temporary place holder until I find something better, Got everything at the site generated is not my goal, just the temporary solutions, tho the comment from guestbook is right, I should write some disclaimer somewhere
