Nice site! I'm curious what's the technology that powers the simulations for your research? I'm assuming you're ssh-ing into some shared compute and editing something?
Thanks! I mainly run GPU accelerated simulations. Some people run massively parallel simulations on CPU research clusters (e.g. Archer 2). However accessing GPU clusters is expensive and difficult (you need a large budget) and funders tend to prioritise AI related work.
With my limited budget then I run my simulations on two desktop GPU workstations which works well enough for up-to several hundred thousand particles

Very cool! I once worked on a simulation project and I can relate to the pain of having to wait for computations to finish xD
