also updated my stylus custom css files. this was like 900 times easier than the first time I coded it because some of the divs actually have names that pertain to the page they're on and i don't have to wrestle with .col.col-md.sm-de-fm and whatever the fuck have you

@blankbarrel ive been thinking about it and honestly most of the lines are either commented out or just doin shit with document.createElement that i could optimize with innerhtml or something LOL. But ☝️ there are a bajillion filtering options now. which is nice

i've drawn some stuff since i started coding but i'll probably not add any newer art entries until the redesign too. frying whats left of my two braincells to get this shit done

just managed to get the javascript for the persistent light theme to work as well. surprisinggly only took like 2 hours. but still the visual upgrade is MASSIVE i seriously cant wait to release this already
i was even considering moving to nekoweb mostly bc of the cheaper hosting but i prefer the site comment section and the higher storage/bandwidth. plus i'd either have to drop one of them or update nc less often (and still pay for both!) and if theres one thing i hate is having outdated shit lying around like it is now. so there really seems like theres no exit. i really just wanna give up and erase everything
obviously things cost money to upkeep and if its free its because someone else is taking the expenses. i know that. but im slow and ill and as much as i hate it i do things in waves. up to months inbetween with small updates every now and then. subscription models are simply not made for people like me, they require you to either update constantly to be worth it or leave things in a tidy state for when you return
you know what you could buy with $5 every month? a whole kilo of spicy-coated peanuts. do you think if i transferred 5 webps and a 70kb update to a html page every month to the supermarket that would get me such a thing? no. outrageous, really
even then id say front-end has been one of those hobbies where im actually confident im good at and it scratches the programmer side of me without actually making me feel stupid for not being able to come up with a complex algorithm or whatevs. most of my issues were with finnicky css syntax and implementation instead of my own creativity. so i literally cant blame it on myself. i dont want to give this hobby up 7:
oh well back to rotting in bed i guess
hmu via email I can give you free hosting if you want, 1gb storage & no limits on file type or bandwidth on xobyte.org. Just a plain static host. You'd also have to use STFP to transfer files between, I don't have a cool web UI setup for managing your files (yet)
@andrewg 1gb isnt enough though otherwise i wouldnt need supporter role 😞 plus i need the site and images to be hosted on the same platform so that i can have relative paths. having to manage third party hosting links for 1000+ images sounds like genuine torture to me
