i'm gonna be the asshole and tell you you're right that those thoughts about how 'certain people are incontrovertibly safe' are racist, and also a little stupid about violence / what violence is, but everyone is a little stupid about violence until it reaches them. i actually think you should've gotten to be stupid about it for longer. i'm sorry you were in danger

i apologize; that's not what i took away from the post, as it's something i happened to already know. what i took away from the post, instead, was that something really traumatic & awful happened to you and Riza, and it could've been even worse. i'm glad you're both physically okay
