in 1 month im gonna turn 19..... its scary cause ive barley matured at all. sometimes i still feel like an 11 year old and even my childhood friend ive grown up with told me that i havent changed much T__T
:] As the 22 year old women who still has lots to learn ahead of herself, i personally dont think that maturing is a process that involves a moderate change in your personality. For me, being mature is the capacity to know when it deems to remain serious and stay put for whatever situation deems it. But otherwise there really is no harm in knowing how to have fun in life <3
As a matter of fact, ive grown so fond of my inner child that i consider myself one at heart. And with that i can still make a normal life, have a job, follow my obligations and daytoday tasks. ( ^ω^) so other than adapting with a situation or enviorament, why should it be a necessity to become compleately different to what makes you be you as long as you are open to keep learning?
i am 19 currently, turning 20 at the end of the year and I feel you. It seems absolutely terrifying but from personal experience I find maturity isn't something that you always feel and it certainly doesn't look the same for everyone. Just go with the flow of your life and you'll find that things tend to work themselves out and the fear of getting older will hopefully fade with time :)
oof i feel that, i start tenth grade in a week or two but sometimes i still feel like im in grade seven

It’s not about the fear of getting older it’s just the fear that I will forever be stuck mentally as a child 🙁
