clicking on the penny logo currently takes me to a page that is asking me to review and confirm my login email. is this legitimate? i've been here 7 years and haven't had to do this before

while it seems copasetic i wanna be absoultely sure it is. i just keep thinking about this one time when scammers managed to get a link to one of their schemes on the actual Neopets site, hidden as a "free points!" giveaway
seems to be official. commit 1fb2bbb to the neocities backend on github describes an email confirmation nag every 6 months

I got that too. I assume it was legitimate, but still thought it was weird, especially after the supposed email confirmation didn't involve an actual email being sent.
