I think the only April fools jokes I'm really into anymore are the ones that are clearly jokes to begin with. like if it's a video the thumbnail makes it clear it's a joke, or it's something that actually exists like a playable game that's just kinda goofy. most other jokes like of the "fake product" variety just feel too mean

yeah, that's why i hate april fool's for the most part. people just get mean
i saw an april fools video that was called "weird spots in gm_flatgrass" and it very quickly turned into horror as he found dark nonexistent hallways That shits the Good kind of april fool
