I WANT TO KNOW TOO god i hate it so much and the vsc configuration menus are literally HELL i unchecked about 53 options that said something along the lines of "disable autocomplete" and THE AUTOCOMPLETE IS STILL THERE i need to switch code editors NOW

are you guys using VSCode or VSCodium? I'm on the latter (which is the same thing but de-Microsofted) and I haven't had this issue

does this help? i havent used vscode before (I use nekowebs built in editor) so im not sure if youll run into the issue of "told to go into a menu in the settings but the menu/option just flat out isnt there at all" sadly https://stackoverflow.com/questions/78163815/disable-all-hints-and-suggestions-in-vscode
