Question for my snail mail & polaroid lovers-has anyone ever sent a polaroid (no envelope) through the mail before? I found some photography groups from the 2000s that used to exchange polaroid that way, but haven't been able to find mention of anyone doing it recently. I'd love to test it out or start an exchange group if it works

I have sent a regular photo through the mail, as well as half of a paper plate. I would think a polaroid would work.
If you're in the US, I think it just requires additional postage given it can't be machine sorted due to it's unconventional size / form factor
Omg a paper plate has me CACKLING, I need to think bigger lol. Probably right about the postage, i'll look into it. I wonder if an international stamp would have enough..
Yeah now that I think of it, the recipient had to pay like 50 cents to receive the plate lmao oops
I have not sent a polaroid through the mail, but my SO used to work in a post office plant. The general rule of thumb is that if it's solid enough to hold a stamp, it can be sent. Like others have said, at a post office you may need to pay a little bit extra, but I'm pretty sure if you put a stamp and address on the back and stuik it in a blue box, it'd end up where you need it.
