@tabf5 thank u im just a bit miffed that it all just seemingly ebbs and flows for the time being - fine for some time, hurtspiral for a bit. but each spiral shallower hopefully w this one...

the current 120 chosen faves were taking up 30.5mb of space beforehand. now, with the snips minutelong? 6.91mb. I Love To Compress Til It Hurts

some behind-the-scenery: i batch-convert to 8kbps via foobar2000 and strip of all metadata. then the chops through a ffmpeg batch command. cba figuring out incorporating maths-with-durations into the comm so, sorted files by length and did some separate chop-batches with different start-times depending on the track lengths

though will be linking up with aplenty from elsewhere in my online circles as per my main quest, so maybe pure soloing the sides would be good - but reckoned why not ask yknow
