I like it except for the weird dark pink / dark green combination that fails minimum colour contrast requirements unless you hover over it.

yer, they might need to tweak it a little bit. UI improvements seem to be happening randomly & without warning, recently.
if anyone did hack me and take over the site i think i would just say fair play and let them have it. if they want it so much
