started reading "i want you to be happy," by jem calder. almost immediately dropped it because of how awkward the characters are, but the way the author has incorporated the character's being on their phones all the time is making me stick around. i am surprised to see an author depicting characters who regularly pull out their phones, forget what they're doing, and worry about responding to texts too quickly.

i'd say "i've finally lost the plot," but that implies that there was a plot to begin with...
as an ex-catholic who thinks that the concept of (a monotheistic) god is irrelevant, i find it hilarious that i am now reading a grimoire by a guy who points out that his wisdom can only be acted on by people who, in short, do magic out of belief and love in god.

the grimoire in question is the dehn & guth translation of "the book of abramelin." very easy to read (so far), even if practicing it may be nigh impossible for one such as i. i'm interested in playing with some of the underlying concepts---in an abstract sense, one could see adonai as the fundamental nature/energy of the universe, & the holy guardian angel as how individuals interact with energy. unrefined idea tho.

needless to say, with each passing day, my life makes increasingly less sense.
thank u! i actually got my username from a song from one of my favorite bands, white rose movement!! in my interpretation of the song, love is a number means love can be bought and sold by celebrities, companies, etc. but its also just a line that stuck out to me, i cant really place why
