Alright, I think accessibility is where it is going to be until I run the next audit or until someone suggests a need or issue. I've added a read aloud feature and made some items in the left side bar collapsible since it was growing far too large. I tried a right side bar but scrapped it immediately. My site colors seem to have washed away, but I'm hoping this is Neocities cashing issue.
Added Large Text and Dyslexic Font Toggles which somehow broke my banner. I think I have it fixed but we will see. Ugly link me button is now showing up. Added a comments section on all pages. I need to fix the last remaining issues with high contrast mode and add a feature where selected accessibility toggles will stay active across all pages for ease of use. Stay tuned.
Got retro widgets up and running and added a search bar and a retro link me section. The button is ugly, but not showing up right now so I guess it doesn't matter. Deleted some sections which were made redundant by the retro widgets and got posts to display with newest post on top. Got high contrast mode to apply to widgets, though there is still a couple of readability issues. Fix coming soon. More to come.
High contrast post fixed and retro Wordpress widgets are being tested on about.html before I put them site wide (or not). Weekly Reading Roundup was posted today but is taking a while to show up. More accessibility features were added and the groundwork for RSS feed was laid.
Wow, I knew accessibility was challenging in the real world, but I had no idea how complicated it could be on the internet. More accessibility features coming soon, plus a fix for high contrast mode to make it more readable. And of course more post as well!
