oh yeah, i remember that site and what they were doing. they really shot themselves in the foot several times. but, whatever their motives were, they basically got lolcowed, which is a terrible way for anyone to go.
especially now where you need to scan QR codes, pay for things in the store, [...] and generally keep the world spinning with their phones." i call this Hostile Infrastructure, and i'm super proud of you for discovering it <3
