As per cambridge's dictionary: grabbag²: a mixed collection of things that may not go particularly well together https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/grab-bag

I don't mind the first issue, I can see how I caused it. But the websafe fonts being inconsistent is annoying I wont lie

I wanna say that acts like those should be rewarded by people remembering you, but if that happens then you'll just end up in a clarence dollars situation where mfs be doing nice things to you because "Oh you'll write about me on your site". But this is an exception I think im fine to make since he didn't do what he did expecting a reward, not expecting that someone would be writing about him or anything like that.

^ I like that you're aware of that in the first place; that he expected nothing in return — Just finished reading, I don't know how your experience of learning English has been but you're an extremely good writer, not only from being from another country where English ain't your native language, but also because of how young you are

I'm not sure of most people in the world even know of people's own personal websites, but writing about someone you met with as much honesty as that is one of the best things you can ever do........ and there's so many reasons for that; but the most important reason is that you care Since you plan to regularly ride the bus — I could be wrong, but I think you'll meet this person again

.........Shoot, I was going to tell you how I write these — longer-looking dash things; they call those the "em dash" compared to your well known: - "en dash" But you're on Linux and I'd have to figure out a program that's got the same sort of concept...... I use this program called "AutoHotKey" on Windows where I could just hold down ALT + - (the regular en dash) and it'll spit out an em dash

Not sure if you're having the copy 'n paste the symbol from a website or character map manually...... I don't want you to have to go through that :( Will write about the script on my site's page here if you find a program that's similar and if the concept for an alternate program you find is similar, I'd for sure put it on it's own page but I'm still figuring my 'site out

I'm not meaning to say this as if I'm just trying to make you feel good: you're doing really good with your life, that's all I can think of to say right now

ok nah but seriously I appreciate the comments. I do think that if I ride the right bus (they all have an identifier) then I could meet him again.

And yeah I did do the copy n paste when getting the "em dash" (in Brasil they call it a travessão). But after researching a bit, the compose key seems like the solution. It's basically a key that you can bind to a key in your keyboard that lets you write several extra characters that don't usually exist on your keyboard (for example, holding down compose and pressing the - three times leads to a —). I think KDE-

- has a thing for making custom keyboard shortcuts that place characters like those. Although I use xfce (the winxp theme is too good not to use) and most you get is a thing that lets you bind keyboard shortcuts to commands or programs. Still good though and is mad useful if things dont work in your keyboard (like the volume +- keys, and pause keys on my kb)

@lemerks HEYYYYYYYY — maybe I am being too polite That's great that you're figuring out something on your end though. I'm thinking of moving to XFCE because of themes and that it just might have more customizability but I'm not sure if I have to set up my distro all over again since I'm on Mint. I don't mind it *too much*, but I don't like how Mint looks by default; too clean and modern..... BLEH

But amazingly, the gentleman running the bus said to me "Hey i'll open the back door for you" and let me ride on the bus for free. I hope his life is filled with good things happening to him, he's too kind.

....and it makes me really sad because I remember seeing his channel when it was online, I still remember the moment - and when I went to write about it; first, I couldn't find the video I watched and then realized his account and channel got hijacked ^ And it's been a month since he posted that video I linked, that whole situation just sounds frustrating to me.... I feel terrible for the guy

Seeing it go fron 12% of systems operational to just 6% is very alarming
That's not good...... I use Purely Mail, I think Proton Mail's another good option if you don't mind opening your e-mail in your browser Google exists........... but yuck
gotta self-host your e-mail and wait until you're not classified as spam anymore
I already use proton, but mostly for things like accounts and such, not something i'd like to use for communications (also why I used chivanet for the longest while as my public mail :D). I second pac's idea of self hosting, and is actually what I was planning to do but without being able to open ports, that idea didnt last too long. Also purelymail seems to be paid, would use it but I dont have a job currently...
...At least for the moment, when I graduate I'll go looking out for jobs. I think that if I start working right now, that all the free time I currently have will end immediately, the capital benefits are good but the downsides of me having no room to practice more creative abilities really sucks (I got some big plans for the future, and I'll need to learn as much stuff as needed to be able to commit to it)
