random thing but does the easter egg on https://dabric.xyz/links/ with undertale make sense at all ? i've experimented it with it quite a bit and i don't know if it still makes (or has ever made) sense

i'm doing a bit of rehauling and that includes my links page which has become a large mess... my largest tension point with it is accidentally publically displaying someone's worth to me and I don't want that. but i also don't want it to just be a large list of unrelated links

I've been in a very similar situation so I understand your pain and hope things are improving. I had a breakdown at my desk, abruptly quit and went to drive tractors for 6 months before coming back to software development. Your plan sounds better. Fewer tractors, though.

my website was originally going to primarily be navigated through a point-and-click adventure type format. the entire thing was made with that in mind (it's even internally called point-and-click!). but i never ended up implementing it

too many times i get stuck because i don't like the current version. but redoing the current version means i need a Post page and a Scripts page and also the Links page but also the Gallery page so it's just in development hell and never sees the light of day
i feel kinda tangled in my legacy stuff. i think i should get just rid of it honestly. but i feel like i'm doing a disservice doing that
you could just archive this and then start from scratch, maybe even entire scratch without a layout and hear yourself out, see where you'll land. don't get stuck in the image of yourself you've made years ago — if it doesn't serve you no more, if it doesn't feel like home, build a new one. Its alright!

If you do rebuild it, I'd recommend trying to build it back up to something simple. When I tried to make my site I tried to do it in a way where I didn't commit to a crazy layout so I can just leave the design alone until the end of time, letting me focus on putting stuff on my pages rather than tweaking the UI stuff around them. Hope that helps idk!
Good luck to you wherever you decide to go with it. I just gotta say what you've made is beautiful. It makes me want to see more of your stuff, in this thing or in another thing.
