i don't get the hatred behind lesbian space princess. it's a year-old movie that *just* got a massive hatebase right out of the blue. constructively criticizing the film is understandable (ex. the artstyle pisses me off, but i find the concept of a straight white male-themed alien race [portrayed as literal white rectangles] really funny), compared to just posting corny fandom tiktoks.

this has to be a coordinated effort because there are far worse hollywood films that are swept under the rug. makes me wanna actually watch LSP to see how "terrible" it is.

totes agree on that, and the insistance people have saying it has terf undertones when the creators debunked that a while back (AFAIK, correct me if im wrong) is concerning? i think its meant to be unserious as a media. considering the antagonists i dont think it even takes itself seriously LOL

@sinproexe i originally thought it was not-so-subtle terfganda because the labrys was mistakenly associated with terfs and the protags kill a(n albeit antagonistic) trans woman, but the deuteragonist is literally nonbinary and apparently one of the protags' moms is trans

Idk anything about the movie but this kind of reminds me of the way people were making fun of high guardian spice a couple years back. Like yeah maybe not the best show ever but a lot of people only hated it because it was queer and made by women
