YES! HE GOT HACKED! I hope the guy's doing okay and I really hope if there's something he can do about it because the whole situation he's in sounds really..... really messed up https://youtu.be/XaV7rhha8y0

....and it makes me really sad because I remember seeing his channel when it was online, I still remember the moment - and when I went to write about it; first, I couldn't find the video I watched and then realized his account and channel got hijacked ^ And it's been a month since he posted that video I linked, that whole situation just sounds frustrating to me.... I feel terrible for the guy

its so sad dude, also saw that sketchzelle got caught in the crossfire too :( Genuinely, hoping he's able to recover his stuff but it seems unlikely. Although a big part of his stuff is archived on newgrounds but not all of it https://rogerregorroger.newgrounds.com/movies

What an interesting read. That was very interesting to see how you figured stuff out there with your XBOX
radicalblur

@sonic2k Glad you liked it! The funny thing is that I didn't even know I had that program installed But for sure, if you're wanting to get an original Xbox or already own one; if you've got the soldering skillz, hard-mod it! Or you can always soft-mod it! I remember seeing you making your own circuit boards, I gotta check out your 'site again - so you could DEFINITELY hard-mod one!

......Okay, I think I've got to make a tutorial on what I was talking about in my journal, I bet it would help people. Hopefully my disc drive is still alive
radicalblur
Not only because it'd be helpful, but it's got to be a part of preserving the *LAST XBOXES IN THE WORLD* out there; since my disc drive is dying; it's going to happen to others eventually and if people haven't modded their Xboxes........ - oh wait, like I talked about in that post; you don't *require* a game to even be able to soft-mod the Xbox anymore!

- Update on what's going on: Disc drive's still running, doing some recording! What's so weird is that I had to use a different mode called "ISO Ripper" mode for Sonic Heroes at that time, but trying it again now; I don't have to do that? Strange...... I bet I'm definitely going to do a tutorial on copying games over to Network for people who don't have their hard drive upgraded, I bet people would get lost from -

@tabbio thanks! that makes me happy that having Tails there makes you feel more at home, I'm looking forward to see what you make too There's so much going on - I really feel as if we're all starting something great with our 'sites, I feel like things are getting better

I think a way you could do it is by putting a comment on the top of the script saying smt like "Hey this script is minified, if you want a more readable script you can check out the full sized one by removing min from the script!" Kinda defeats the purpose of not downloading comments but one shouldnt be too bad right?
radicalblur
@lemerks I like that idea! Who cares if I wasted a kilobyte of space and loading time from writing that? - "NOOOOO MY PRECIOUS BANDWIDTH!!!" I write comments every time whenever I use the shorthands for CSS Margins (unless I forget), so why not with scripts? http://radicalblur.yorniq.xyz/writings/guides/programming/how-to-save-storage-css-margins/

ngl I too forget about what to do with them shorthands so that guide seems really useful!

@lemerks I still feel in disbelief that I invented that but there are other kinds of mnemonics people've made for this like TRouBLe - definitely not like I'm *the first person* to ever invent this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/356759/a-mnemonic-for-the-order-of-css-margin-and-padding-shorthand-properties (continues)

- That could help people but I don't think that really dives into the whole concept of what side is for which. So I like to view it as that box model you can find on that page I feel that I presented it in a good way - at least it does make sense and click for me, but I just hope it helps other people If you or anyone's got a better way to present it though, feel free to correct me!

@maddoxxing I was checking it out last night, I love the feeling of the whole page and the design you went for - I don't know if any other word describes it than beautiful And then there's this- https://maddoxxing.yorniq.xyz/shrines/1/img/wasted.webp That whole page of you answering a hundred questions about yourself entertained me

@maddoxxing This is one of the most important things anyone can learn in their life - maybe THE most important thing. Reading this really opened my mind to: there's really real loving, honest people that have websites??? https://maddoxxing.yorniq.xyz/journal/posts/2024-11-15-Me-Against-the-World-(Scott-Pilgrim-Style)

For sure I want to add a link to his 'site soon and I bet lots of other people! I want to put this out there. I've been holding myself on visiting websites for a long while because I want to continue the Internet Adventures stuff I do, but I don't think it's healthy for me to do that...... My point of even doing that is because I'm still trying to finish something I'm making; I feel as if I can't continue unless -
radicalblur
- I finish it.... And then, there's also me wanting to figure out the layout of my website all over again on top of that I want to be honest too; I've felt self-conscious at times and felt as if I don't want visit other websites because mine isn't finished and because I don't feel as if it looks too great (at least right now).... Not only that, but I felt this fear of that I would unintentionally copy what someone's
radicalblur
- website would look like. But I shouldn't be comparing myself to others, because feeling that way just defeats the fun in what websites even are. Thinking about it now..... I think visiting more 'sites would inspire me more and boost my creativity again
radicalblur
Needed to let that out for a while now! But there's lots of things I plan on doing here, even if what I'm planning isn't there yet, even if you don't really see it yet. I don't want anyone to feel ignored or left out on anything

hi! I remember seeing your site a while back; you're that guy who makes plushy videos! I used to watch those kinds of videos a long, long time ago and I like how people are still doing it - but it hasn't appealed to me since I was younger? Still not sure why, maybe I'd just need to give it all a look again?

So..... I wonder if they fixed that? I don't see any blog post about that so far which surprises me; the only latest one I see is the one about Bing blocking Neocities...... haven't heard of that because I don't even use Bing but I gotta say..... that's really stupid if Bing wants to block independent websites - which they're Microsoft after all (obviously evil)
radicalblur

I think it'd be better if I explain the code in that screenshot, let's say the title of this place is "Radicals Website" in the HTML code. The script finds the "ls" part and adds an apostrophe; ending up in "Radical's Website". On the Neocities profile, it'd show up as "Radicals" but when you'd actually view it for yourself, it'd show up as "Radical's". But it looks like I don't have to do that..... yay!

I don't know - maybe we all should just go back to table layouts because flexible, responsive layouts are a pain in the butt...... then people on mobile and small screens wouldn't be happy :(

We're going back to the days of splash screens where we tell people that this 'site is best viewed at a 1024 x 768 resolution and have two different versions of the site just for a small resolution!!!!! - Was going to send a link to one of those kinds of sites here but I can't find it in my bookmarks.....

trying to make a site layout that works on several screens sounds like a PAIN. Genuinely sucks so much unless your site looks boring af like most sites do
radicalblur
@wackyworkbench I actually did figure it out and I'm so relived...... it's complicated to explain here since it's had a whole history in the making. That status feed on my home page? I've been changing it up in a way, I wanted the little indicator/blurb (whatever you call it) I have there at the top of the bubble instead. I had to use position: absolute for that element & make it's parent element a position: relative
radicalblur
- Meaning that the little indicator has `position: absolute`, and the element that it's part of has `position: relative`. I have `right: 0` to make the little blurb at the very right of the bubble, if I don't do this; it'll be at the very right of the screen instead of the area of the bubble
radicalblur
- But it's kinda different here since this version of the 'site's not updated of course................ yet. But when it does get updated; you'll see what I pretty much explained here! ..... That might be a long while, who knows
radicalblur
@lemerks It does...... it does, *extra WORK* I just wanna get my pages done! - I think it'll grow on me more and more....... - Yep, unless I make a blog that just has a white background and black text and links to soci......... - Blur will never do that

One of the things I think about doing is getting rid of the whole profile for this website because I don't like the concept of attention with social media, the positive side I see to it is meeting new people and suggesting things, commenting. I feel held back and I've been holding myself back on exploring websites because I feel as if I need to finish one of the internet adventures before I even continue
Of course I don't *have* to look at that aspect with the profile and I don't but it might be a problem; I'm not sure I'm not sure of what I want to do at this point, I haven't been feeling creative — it's got to be one of the worst feelings in the world. I hope this changes
