It looks so gorgeous and seems pretty modern, unlike Warcraft I which I've just read your review of as I hadn't read it before. That was exactly a year ago, I look forward to the summer 2027 Warcraft III review!

Oh hey, the site just broke 100+ followers, thanks so much to everyone who has humoured my weirdo doll ramblings about obscure Mac shareware! I'd do some kind of special review for the occasion, but I've already done Lemmings (my Mac favourite) and Marathon (the most important/historically significant Mac exclusive imo)... maybe I can come up with something else.

Fellow Parodius fan? Based. Also, strong agree with your callout on the Bad Webcomics Wiki, absolutely hate it. You're right on the mark with noting the anti-furry bias, iirc they outright have just said that furry comics should never take themselves seriously or have adult content in any way, thus furry comics with fanservice or dark subject matter are called bad for simply EXISTING.

This might be the last update for a while. I've been spacing out bad lately and feeling excessively exhausted and I may have overworked myself a bit, so I think it's best I take a few to see if I recover. Sorry to leave on something so schlocky, but as always, I will be back when I feel the drive to write more! Car pun unintended.

@p7uen Thank you! Fortunately over the last few years I've gotten way more comfy with keyboard controls in general (upgrading to a mechanical keyboard made things feel way better), so a lot of stuff I used to play with controllers like Tomb Raider I now exclusively play with the keyboard, and I was able to adapt to Marathon keyboard only by going into it with a similar mindset. Still, nothing beats mouselook!

I know this isn't super positive, but I used to have BC Racer on 3DO, and the tracks in this look so much niftier than what I remember of that game!

Caveperson is such a weird genre for games and especially kart racers, and yet there are more than one. So weird. (p.s. your Bugdom images are broken unless it's just me!)

Man I don't remember much about Gish but I do remember the phenomenon you describe of being too sticky to get around corners and having to wiggle. Do you think people were more forgiving because we didn't know any better in terms of physics or it was a nice break from more rigid platformers of the time?

@p7uen I think so. Again, it IS genuinely impressive for 2004 indie game physics, it's just unfortunately not fun to play imo.

@p7uen I've been playing Puyo Puyo for so long that until you pointed it out I genuinely forgot that the puyo look at each other or even in two opposite directions at once depending on what puyo are adjacent to them. Love that detail!
