Small update this time. Not much to say except I'm still having a fun time making blinkies. I fixed some issues and finalized the ones already posted (the graphics attached to the prior log have been updated), and also made a reverse direction version of the HATE reel blinkie.

It's certainly been a hot minute since I've updated. With full transparency, I just lost steam for websites and spritework, for the moment, gripped tight in the vice of creative block. On the good side, my motivation is slowly coming back, aided by my newly-rekindled obsession with I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. It's cathartic to just let yourself shrug into a new interest, without holding yourself to any sort of standard for what that should be or look like. Still very eager for the TADC movie in a month, but the Aggressive Menace has currently displaced the ringmaster as my current AI fixation. As is customary for any presiding interest, I have made a blinkie in tribute. Likely more to come, as there is a woeful shortage, as far as the eye can see. Mayhaps I will make a blinkie page.

Oh, man... The Amazing Digital Circus, episode 8... Admittedly, I was rather neutral on this show before now, but the latest episode has me totally and utterly hooked. As of the writing of this log, I'm binge-rewatching the series.

While I haven't yet managed a rework of the site layout or internals, I have added a new page: the Scratch Smithy! A bit ironic that the first thing I post here happens to be a sprite trace of Caine, but my plans will be for it to host all my original/non-edit sprites. For now, let the showman himself commemorate its grand opening! Even if he is, in true "AI" fashion, a bit on the unoriginal side. With that said, no real AI will ever be used in any of my spritework, Smithy or Forge.

Off to continue my rewatch.

Well, I have begun the slow process of implementing some system of consistency across my site pages, though I suspect there is still some brokenness somewhere yet unseen. Most notably, sprites.html has finally been changed to fix-it-forge.html, which is what it will stay for the foreseeable future. Digipets.html has also been appropriately renamed to digifarm.html. Aside from that, there is still the task of systemizing a naming scheme for my sprites... ... ... later.

I've also joined the 88x31 px button bandwagon, not for my main site (there is not much here to be seen, yet), but for The Forge. For something I whipped up in about two hours, I'm pleased:

Further updates remain to be seen. I plan to work more on my sprite queue before launching into a website facelift.

I have been messing with this site again... the code, which is a spaghetti mess of antiquated techniques regurgitated from dusty memory-banks of the early 2010's, has reached critical mass, hitting, today, such a fever-pitch of inconvenience that a bottom-up site overhaul is incontrovertibly necessary. Whether I will buckle down and actually work on said overhaul is, however, another story. For now, I am focused almost exclusively on my meaningless little sprites; who needs a functional website?

One of the first things on the agenda will be the concentrated clean-up of nonsensical URL names. Not quite sure why I named the DigiFarm "digipets.html" but it will be the first thing to change. There will also be a lot of URL breakage in the coming days as I scramble for some whimpering semblance of organization in my uploaded sprite names.

Onward march!
