short mini post: we didn't end up getting our new internet installed last week, BUT we were finally able to have it installed today! and IT'S ALREADY LETTING ME PLAY ONLINE GAMES WITH MY BEST FRIEND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SIX FUCKING YEARS, I AM SO HAPPY

from what i understand of all these old consoles, taking some computer duster to the insides has an almost magical effect on them. sometimes though you gotta get out the rubbing alcohol and brush the contacts a bit. (inconsistent contact with the cartridge bus suggests a bit of debris fell into it.)
