Overview

TerminalMontage is an animator on YouTube who began animating in 2012 at the end of February. They are a self taught animator and artist, and use a combination of Adobe Animate CC, Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects. They always wanted to make movies and tell stories, and animating struck them as the best way to do so. Their more simple art style stems from how they found it easier and more fun to animate compared to a highly complicated one. They typically animate about a minutes worth per week when working on a animation. They are also known to hide small extra jokes and bits after the credits in their videos, some of which are continuations from previous after credit scenes.

About the Something About Series

This series mostly consits of parodies of viedogames, often including speedruns of said games, with a few entires centered around other topics, such as spam bots. Creating one Something About animation takes around six weeks of animating to finish, depending on the length and content.
When covering a game, the parodies often follow the general plot of the game, or how speedruns are achived for the game. Of course, this is done with a multitude of jokes, easter eggs, and running gags included. Even the captions contain fun details and jokes.

TerminalMontage's First Original Series

The Fruitless Quests of Nabiu features a style similar to older video games like Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts. It also takes insperation from cartoons from the 80s-2000s such as Courage the Cowardly Dog, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon. This series mixes the humor of TerminalMontage's other videos with classic game logic. It also keeps the hidden details, jokes, and easter eggs that their other vidoes include. The series even has its own original soundtrack, composed by Luis Sies (MyNewSoundtrack).

Why I Chose This Artist

I hadn't wanted to chose someone from the list of artists as it wouldn't be as genuine of a choice for me. I wanted to choose someone I actually found interesting so this assignment would feel less like a chore and more like the fan page it is. I enjoy the more cartoon style they present their works in and the jokes they include, for the most part at least. And their original series hits points of childhood nestagia with it's style.
