yeah im not excited about switching over to linux but im getting fed up with all the annoying changes on windows

Youtube was one of the hardest things for me to quit using. It took me about a month to stop feeling an urge to check it. That alone has been a motivator to not go back to it.

I've been trying to get more into video games and TV to remove myself from anything that has an algorithm. This might help.

can't recomend the movie more. you don't find stuff like it everyday. i'd also recomend Into the Inferno (directed by Werner Herzog). a documentary about the culture and mythos of volcanos
