watching sports makes me sleepier. i've always found it boring.
but you know what? 17776 made sports feel interesting to me. i liked it. a lot. the story has lots of futuristic, outer-space, sci-fi-ish aspects to it without being about aliens and technology and war and whatnot. no, it lures you in immediately, and before you know it, you're already on chapter 5. each character is so memorable and you can't help but love them all. it's a hilarious read too, has so many good quotes, and the dialogue feels genuine and natural. it also pulls at your heartstrings and makes you contemplate life. all while still mainly being about football. incredible. just incredible
